Do I have to fully disrobe for all spa treatments?
Many clients feels most comfortable disrobed for spa treatments. We provide terry cloth robes and luxurious towels for draping your body during facials, massage therapy, and body treatments. What is most important is that you relax and de-stress in a way that is best for you.
Should I have any concerns if I have a medical condition, such as pregnancy, recent surgeries, allergies, or am menstruating?
If you are experiencing any medical conditions, please inform the front desk coordinator or the service provider, so that we can offer you the proper services.
When should I arrive for my spa services?
Arriving 15 minutes prior to the start time of your service is ideal. We'll show you to the locker room where you can change into a robe and slippers and store your belongings. We suggest that you do not bring jewelry or valuables with you. Rest for a few minutes in our quiet room where you can enjoy our cucumber-infused water and fresh fruit. A steam awaits those who wish to begin their treatment in this manner.
How long does hair need to be if I am coming in for a waxing service?
It's best if hair growth does not exceed 1/4". If you're able to come in just after menstruation, it is typically the best time for waxing because you may experience less sensitivity due to hormone levels.
How and when should I make my spa reservations?
Spa reservations may be made by calling us directly at 814-234-3366. We encourage you to schedule your spa services well in advance of your visit to ensure the widest selection of treatments and appointment times. Spa reservations must be made with a credit card or gift card.
What if I'm late?
Arriving late will limit the time for your treatment, lessening its effectiveness and your enjoyment. As your service was reserved at a specific time, your treatment will end at its set time so that the next guest is not inconvenienced and the full treatment price will apply.
What about alcohol?
We do not recommend excessive consumption of alcohol before or after massage or body treatments, as the detoxifying effects of these services can contribute to the dehydrating effects of alcohol. The Spa reserves the right to re-schedule services for guests who appear to be intoxicated.
Should I shave before my services?
We recommend allowing several hours between shaving and receiving any service that involves an exfoliation (body services, scrubs, gentlemen's facial) to decrease the risk of skin irritation or discomfort.
What are my responsibilities as a guest?
Please advise our spa staff of any special requests, sensitivities or allergies, if you are pregnant, nursing or taking any medications. We will use this information to keep you comfortable and safe throughout your spa experience. Please notify us of any discomfort or preferences regarding room temperature, music volume or massage pressure during your spa experience.
